““I give you a new command: Love one another. Just as I have loved you, you are also to love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” John 13:34-35
The Bible talks about the concept of being knit in Christ. To be knit means to be joined in heart with others. The Kingdom advances and destinies are fulfilled when we are knit to the right people.
The word knit in the Hebrew means to be united as one, together, or alike. Scriptures tell us that we are knit together by God in our mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13), we are knit to Christ (Colossians 2:19), and that we are to be united in the Holy Spirit through the bond of peace to other believers (Ephesians 4:3).
God designed us in such a way that our hearts would be joined with others to display His glory. Let us pray that our relationship to Christ and to others would be a beautiful reflection of this truth.
Amen!
