“And all who believed were together and had all things in common.” Acts 2:44
Scripture tells us that when two or three are gathered in His name, he is there in the midst of them (Matthew 18:20).
I love this scripture because it reminds me of the beauty and power of community. There’s a different kind of anointing available to us when we’re with other believers vs when we’re by ourselves. We’re able to tap into the Father’s heart in a fresh and exciting way.
God is a God of relationship! He created family and is mindful of the generations to come. When we come together on one accord, in Jesus name, our potential for growth becomes bigger. & this growth isn’t just limited to our personal and spiritual development. It includes our growth as a body, too.
In the Book of Acts Chapter 2:42-47, we see how close the community of Believers were. They ate together, prayed together, took care of one another’s needs, and praised God together. As a result of their honest love for one another, the Lord added to their community every single day.
The more we come together and “do life” with each other as God has called us to, the more God will bless the church and add to it for the purposes of advancing His kingdom on earth.
Let’s be a church that is committed to family and relationship, just like our God in Heaven!
Amen!
